The Huffaker Healey

What's to come for the Huffaker Healey!

June 15, 2007

After years of languishing in a dusty barn in St. Helena, the Huffaker Healey has returned to Carmel for a racing restoration.  This site will chronicle my involvement with the Huffaker Healey! from my purchase of it from Ed Leslie in October, 1968, through my racing in SCCA D Production until crashing it at Laguna Seca in the turn 2 guardrail and it's subsequent "parking" in my brother-in-law's garage/barn in St. Helena until I could get around to fixing it.  Well, it's been 35 years so it's about time I started the project.  The intervening years were filled with business, family and racing so the Huffaker Healey took a back seat.  Over the next year, or two, I intend to bring it back to as raced condition circa 1968.  I'll be posting photos of its history and its restoration progress back to track worthy status.  Check in every once-in-awhile and see what's new here.
